| FAQs for the MBA and MS in CIS (pdf document) |
The MBA is a 57-credit program in general business management. Students take a broad spectrum of business courses including finance, accounting, marketing, and management. MBA/CIS students take core courses in database management systems, systems analysis and design, networks and telecommunications, and IS Development Project . Students select from a list of CIS electives in order to complete the major.
The MS/CIS program is 36-54 credits. The program has a smaller business core than the MBA, and can be waived based on prior academic background. A full 36 credits are completed in the CIS specialization, allowing students to have a deeper immersion into CIS than offered in the MBA.
