Class Assignments and Exercises

Visit this page to learn about homework assignments and their due dates. Please be aware of the policy stated in the syllabus about turning in late assignments. There are also a few exercises you might also want to try.

When turning in an assignment, you must include the following information on a separate cover page:
Your Name, Course Number (3400), Section (TV24A), the name and number of the assignment and the date.

You may submit your assignments via e-mail to richard.holowczak@baruch.cuny.edu. However, please remember to include all of the above information (your name, etc.) in the body of the message as well as in any attachments. I strongly recommend you send me a test message with an attachment to make sure I can decode it and read it properly.

The first assignment is to access the course home page. Take the time to view the on-line syllabus, locate the page for the course notes and read my statement on Conduct and Academic Honesty.

Then send the Professor e-mail at:
richard_holowczak@baruch.cuny.edu
with the Subject Line: CIS 3400 First Assignment
Supply the following information in your e-mail:
Full name, e-mail address (both your Baruch e-mail address and at least one other), program and major (undergrad business, MBA, MS/CIS), semesters completed, when you expect to graduate, list of CIS courses completed, list of CIS courses being taken this semester, and your reasons for taking this course.

Please let me know if you have a class right before this class or directly after it.

Please let me know where you intend to carry out homework and project work that involves MS Access (e.g., work, school, home). Also let me know what version of MS Access you have or will use.

Finally, include in your note an acknowledgement that you have read and understood my statement on Conduct and Academic Honesty.

Note that all students must actively maintain an e-mail account while enrolled in any of my advanced courses.
